More than 30,000 people have fled to Houston shelters, with an unknown number of other people being displaced since Hurricane Harvey came ashore last Friday as a Category 4 hurricane.
The damage done by Harvey dwarfs previous natural disasters in the U.S. with an estimated $190 billion. With close to a record breaking amount, the storm brought in 51.9 inches of rain through Wednesday morning.
All of this to say that Hurricane Harvey has been devestating to all of those impacted and the United States. As we continue to find out what the totals are, please share this with your friends and family.
