TMSG: "Haircuts For Heroes" Gives Hospital Staff Free Hair Cuts

Shortcut, a mobile haircutting company, teamed up with Mount Sinai South Nassau in New York to give hospital staff a well-deserved trim.

The company put together the "Haircuts for Heroes" project and sent four stylists in to the hospital for three days. In that time they managed to give 160 hospital workers a free cut.

Some of the employees had been working nonstop and were way overdue for a trim, like one healthcare professional and new mom. She hadn't had her hair done in six months, and it was her first haircut since returning from maternity leave.

Shortcut co-founder Will Newton said,

"We saw a simple, yet impactful opportunity to give back to these health care heroes. It provided some normalcy after months of serving in a high-stress environment."
