Eddie was at his 11-year-old son's basketball game when he witnessed something shocking.
There was an incident on the court where the kids were fighting for the ball. One of the bigger kids swung a punch at another kid, but the kid that threw the punch didn't get ejected. Instead both of the kids involved in the ball fight had to sit out for 5 minutes, but once the 5 minutes were up the kid who threw the punch was back in the game.
The punch didn't land on the other kid, but Eddie was shocked the kid was allowed to stay in the game at all. He thinks the kid should have been ejected for the rest of the game and the remainder of the season because if the punch would have landed, it would have knocked the other kid out. Eddie also noted that he heard the punching kid's dad in the audience yell at him to "stop it," but he never went on the court to intervene or anything.
