Bobby Bones is feeling a little guilty after a recent BobbyCast with Dierks Bentley made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Bentley has always been hesitant about doing podcasts because he knows how easy it is for people to pull snippets, cut them up, and share them on social media without the full context. He’s said before that podcasts are meant for long, thoughtful conversations, not just a few seconds turned into clickbait. Well… that’s exactly what happened.
After his BobbyCast appearance, several outlets ran with the headline: “Dierks Bentley and His Wife Sleep in Separate Rooms.” The story blew up online, even though what Bentley actually shared was way more lighthearted and relatable than it sounded. Years ago, Bentley went as far as buying two mattresses, two box springs, and two duvets to try and create “independent suspension” in their bed so they could both sleep better. But lately, his wife sometimes heads to another room when his restless sleeping habits keep her up.
So while the headlines made it seem dramatic, the truth is Bentley was just being honest about the realities of married life and sleep. Bones feels bad that Bentley's reason for not wanting to be on podcasts came true.
