Bobby Hits It off With John Stamos During Bobbycast Interview

Bobby shared a recent experience involving actor and musician John Stamos after recording an interview for an upcoming episode of the BobbyCast.

He and Stamos spent more than an hour talking during the interview and quickly developed a friendly rapport. During the conversation, Stamos told Bobby that he planned to give him his personal cell phone number after the interview ended and instructed him to text him. However, when the interview wrapped up, the conversation ended before Bobby received the number directly. Later, Stamos reached out through his team and sent his cell phone number to Mike D with instructions to pass it along to Bobby.

The moment sparked a debate among the show members about whether Bobby should text him. Amy immediately encouraged him to do so, pointing out that Stamos specifically asked him to reach out. Bobby admitted he felt awkward about initiating contact and questioned what he would even say. Amy suggested a simple message introducing himself and confirming he received the number. Mike agreed, saying the two appeared to genuinely connect during the interview. Bobby remained hesitant, arguing that Stamos likely was not thinking about whether he texted or not. Bobby explained that he intentionally avoided immediately talking about Full House because he did not want to be another person focusing solely on Stamos' most famous role. Eventually though, the conversation naturally turned to the beloved sitcom. Bobby asked Stamos about working with the Olsen twins during the show's run. According to Stamos, one twin was better with comedic moments while the other was stronger during dramatic scenes, even as young children. The two also discussed the end of Full House. Stamos told Bobby that the cast never truly experienced a traditional series finale because the show was canceled before plans to continue elsewhere could materialize. Bobby recalled that one of Stamos' first comments during the interview was jokingly asking why Bobby had a mullet.

The conversation also included memories of Bob Saget and stories from Stamos' career. Bobby shared that he and his wife danced to "Forever" at their wedding, a song famously performed by Jesse and the Rippers on Full House. Stamos told Bobby he still performs the song during Beach Boys shows and invited him to attend an upcoming concert. Bobby also revealed a memorable moment from the interview when Stamos repeatedly insisted he recognized him from somewhere. After ruling out American Idol, Stamos eventually realized Bobby was the contestant who defeated Juan Pablo Di Pace, a Fuller House cast member, during a season of Dancing with the Stars. The realization led Stamos to jokingly tell Bobby he was "the guy" who beat Juan Pablo, finally solving the mystery of why he looked familiar.

Amy and the rest of the show continued encouraging Bobby to send a text message before too much time passed. Bobby admitted that if he was going to reach out, he would need to do it soon before Stamos forgot about their conversation.
