With two sons in the military, LeAnn Boudwine sends them care packages regularly. LeAnn found out that some of the men and women serving our country don’t ever get anything at all in the mail from their loved ones back home. She went after a way to change that.
The military mom got organized, found volunteers and started sending care packages to service members overseas. Her nonprofit Support The Troops Wisconsin has been sending boxes filled with goodies, thanks, and packed with love for ten years and they’re about to send their 10,000th one.
But don’t think because she’s hit that milestone LeAnn plans to stop shipping packages. The need is still there, “I’ll do it for as long as I can" she told TMJ4 in Milwaukee.
