What 24 Yr Olds Care About: Olympian Gus Kenworthy Shuts Down Dog Farm

Each morning our resident 24-Year-Old, our web girl Morgan #2, shares a story that people her age care about right now.

Today's story hits home with the 2018 Winter Olympics. Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy not only competed in the 2018 Olympics but he also took time to do some good while in South Korea. He worked closely with Human Society International to shut down a South Korean dog farm.

He noted that on his Instagram that there are "17,000 dog farms" similar to the one he worked to shut down. Thanks to Kenworthy, 90 dogs and puppies will be heading to the U.S. and Canada after vaccinations to find proper homes.

Kenworthy also even adopted one of the pup's for himself and named him Beemo. Kenworthy noted in his Instagram post,

"It’s not my place to impose western ideals on the people here,” Kenworthy writes on Instagram. “The way these animals are being treated, however, is completely inhumane and culture should never be a scapegoat for cruelty."

This isn’t the first time Kenworthy has done good doggy deeds. He also saved five stray dogs at the 2014 Sochi games in Russia.
