When his fathers newly opened Missouri City doughnut shop wasn't seeing much business, Billy By took matters into his own hands by posting a tweet that went viral.
Once the tweet was posted "Billy's Donuts" was flooded with customers. “We completely sold out of donuts and kolaches!,” Billy By posted to Twitter. “You are all amazing. I can’t thank everyone enough for coming out and supporting local businesses. This means so much to my family.”
Even celebrities showed support for the local shop, including actor Ryan Phillippe. Others tweeted photos of the long lines and raved about tasty treats. Goes to show the power of social media can be used for good!
