Morgan2 put together a list of things that locals and tourists can try while spending time in Nashville with everything from restaurants to activities. Check out her list below!
Breakfast Spots:
Pancake Pantry, Big Bad Breakfast, Sky Blue Cafe, Loveless Café, Frothy Monkey, Monell's, Fido's
Some personal favorites from these hoppin' places include Sky Blue Cafe's PB+J Stuffed French Toast Pancakes, Pancake Pantry's Chocolate Chip Pancakes with homemade cinnamon syrup, and Big Bad Breakfast's BBB Skillet.
Brunch Spots:
Stateside Kitchen, Hopsmith Tavern, Hampton Social, Supper Club on Belcourt
Stateside Kitchen is known for their happening environment with a DJ and bottomless mimosas but be prepared to wait, Hopsmith Tavern kicks things up a notch with 2 for 1 champagne, Hampton Social is a very Instagramy vibe spot perfect for photos, good food, and guitar shots. Supper Club on Belcourt has the delicious soul roll and french toast waffle bites you don't want to miss.
Dinner Picks:
Barcelona Wine Bar (tapas), Blanco (Mexican), Sixty Vines (upscale American), Amerigo (Italian), Burger Up or ML Rose (Casual American), Sadie's (Mediterranean), House of Cards (fancy dinner), 312 Pizza (Chicago-style pizza)
If you head to Barcelona, get yourself some patatas bravas and enjoy the free warm bread. Blanco has the best queso and margaritas in Nashville and Sixty Vines upstairs has something for everyone on the menu and don't skip out on dessert. Amerigo has classic Italian food, be sure to order the cheese fritters for an appetizer. Burger Up has some mac and cheese bites you won't forget, while Sadie's whipped feta and frosé is one of a kind. House of Cards gives you a magic show with dinner (literally), and 312 pizza has great deep dish pizza, but don't miss out on their pretzels with cheese!
Perfect Place For Drinks:
Pushing Daisies, Yee-Haw Brewing Company, Old Glory, Pearl Diver
If you're downtown head underground to Pushing Daisies for some great margaritas or yee-haw brewing company for local beer and moonshine with a great atmosphere. Old Glory is a perfect local spot for drinks after dinner at Barcelona or Sadie's, Pearl Diver is not only a great dive spot in East Nashville, but it's also decorated to bring the beach vibes to you.
For Those With Sweet Tooths:
Donut Distillery, Baked Bear, NoBaked, Gracie's Milkshake Bar, Mattheessens
If you're a donut fan, Donut Distillery is the place to check out, they have mini donuts with all kinds of flavors plus the option to add your favorite alcoholic beverage to your taste test. Mattheessens has cookies the size of your face, and Baked Bear is a meal all on its own with cookie ice cream sandwiches. NoBaked is great for the cookie dough lover while Gracie's is great for over-the-top milkshakes.
Rooftops & Patios:
L.A. Jackson, Sonny's, Von Elrod's, Virgin Hotel, White Limozeen, Jason Aldean's, Ottos
In the gulch area, you can head to L.A. Jackson which is the perfect rooftop bar for good vibes and fun photos. Sonny's and Von Elrod's are off the beaten path in Germantown with not only fun patios, but also some great foods to go with their drinks. If you're headed to Midtown area, Virgin Hotel has a DJ every weekend night and looks much like a pool club and White Limozeen is perfect for tourists who want to see Dolly Parton, because they have a massive statue of Dolly made just for photo ops. Jason Aldean's is a wild time if you're out on Broadway because it also connects to Luke Bryan's rooftop so lots of space to explore with loud music and other tourists. If you find yourself on the west side of Nashville, Otto's Bar is a car shop that got turned into a bar.
Experiences & Activities:
Pins Mechanical Company, Hatch Show Print, Arrington Vineyards, The Adventure Park, Centennial Park, Day Trip To Waterfall
If you like to bowl, then definitely hit up Pins Mechanical Co for some duck pin bowling and really great drinks. If it's a nice day out, don't pass on a chance to go to Arrington Vineyards for wine, my personal favorite is blackberry wine. The Adventure Park is sure to get your adrenaline going and Centennial Park lets to experience the Parthenon in all its re-creation beauty, even better if you bring a picnic with you. If you're looking for a bigger adventure, spend a day driving out to a waterfall, some are within an hour from Nashville - personal favorites include Burgess Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Machine Falls, and Cummins Falls.
This list will keep growing as Morgan continues to try out new spots. Make sure to also check out her list of the best photo opportunities in Nashville here!
