Chase Rice Confirmed His New Album Is Not About Bachelor Contestant

Chase Rice has had a busy week. He decided to surprise drop an album over the weekend ahead of his somewhat controversial performance on "The Bachelor."

On Friday, Rice dropped The Album Part 1 full of new music he's been teasing on his social media. He said he's been sharing all of these new songs on social media that he didn't feel the need to wait any longer to drop some of the album. The album features many songs about heartbreak, Rice confessed that the entire record is about one girl. They dated for about a year and a half and Rice is still dealing with some feelings surrounding the relationship. He said she's a great one and doesn't have any hard feelings about her, but they were just at different points in their lives.

Last night Rice appeared on the popular TV show "The Bachelor" as an artist guest to play for a one-on-one date for Pilot Pete. In a twisted turn of events, the girl on the one-on-one date Victoria F. used to date Rice. Talking about the incident on The Bobby Bones Show, Rice said he doesn't know if it happened on purpose or if it was a coincidence. He continued by saying he wasn't mad at anybody, but he was definitely taken aback when he saw her. He told Bobby Bones there was automatically more pressure in the first place due to it being televised, but when she walked out, he just started laughing. He couldn't believe what was happening, but then just went "into the zone" like a normal show.

Also, just announced, Chase Rice will be one of the performers at the iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, Texas on May 2nd. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 7th at 12 p.m. CT through www.texasboxoffice.com
