Loretta Lynn and Kid Rock tied the knot over the weekend. Well... kind of.
After a heartfelt expression of love for her son Ernie and his wife Crystal, country music legend, Loretta Lynn, posted on social media that during her son's vow renewal she had a little fun of her own.
"Marriage isn't always easy--heck it's not even always pretty, but love holds you together and you push through the bad days to enjoy the good ones. I'm so proud of them and wish them years of happiness," she wrote.
She joked that things took a turn. "Things got crazy then--my boy Kid Rock was there and we've always teased about getting ourselves married. Well, the preacher was already there so we had some fun with it. Sorry girls, he's taken now."
One image shows Ms. Loretta Lynn in a white veil as another shows Kid Rock kneeling in front of her blushing with his hand over his face.
The wedding was all in jest, however, and the post donned playful hashtags to ensure it was taken as a joke.
The post received thousands of likes and comments and people seemed to love it. One commenter said, "I love it!!!!! You and Kid Rock. Match made in Heaven."
