Shaboozey said PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive of 2024 “should’ve been me.”
The “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” artist wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday afternoon (November 13) that the Sexiest Man Alive “should’ve me…but the people have spoken. Congratulations [John Krasinski].”
Krasinski, 45, is known for his roles in The Office, A Quiet Place, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and more. He told PEOPLE of his reaction to his Sexiest Man Alive title: “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts. Other than maybe I'm being punked. That's not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I'll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”
He added that his wife, actress Emily Blunt, 41, joked about using the magazine cover as wallpaper in the couple’s home if Krasinski won. Krasinski said their children, daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8, “will love that, it won’t be weird at all. …I think it's [the Sexiest Man Alive title] going to make me do more household chores. After this comes out, she’ll be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’”
