Billy Ray Cyrus reacted to his daughter’s latest Grammy Award win on Sunday (February 2), weeks after the “Achy Breaky Heart” star delivered a “concerning” performance at the Liberty Ball on President Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day.

“Congratulations [Miley Cyrus] and [Beyoncé] on their well-deserved [Recording Academy] Grammy wins! 🎶 Couldn’t be prouder!!!❤️🎉 🎈,” Billy Ray, 63, wrote in a caption on Instagram. Miley later “liked” the post.

Miley and Beyoncé won in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for “II Most Wanted,” one of the collaborations on Beyoncé’s star-studded, groundbreaking country-themed record, COWBOY CARTER. Beyoncé won several categories at the Grammys, including Best Country Album and Album of the Year. The victories on Sunday evening marked the powerhouse artist’s first Grammy Award in a country category — making her the first Black woman to Wim a country Grammy in more than 50 years — and her first Grammy for Album of the Year. Beyoncé has since revealed stops on her upcoming COWBOY CARTER tour.

Billy Ray’s congratulatory message to his daughter arrives amid apparent “drama” amongst family members, though Miley has reportedly opted not to get involved. After his Inauguration Day performance, Billy Ray’s son, Trace Cyrus, 35, penned an emotional message urging his dad to get help and focus on his health. He’s since alleged that Billy Ray “threaten[ed] me with legal action” in response to that message.

Billy Ray’s son Braison Cyrus, on the other hand, has teamed up with his dad on an upcoming album. Braison, 30, produced the album and co-wrote some of the tracks. Billy Ray said of the album, “this is art imitating life, imitating art. It starts and ends with art. Braison is very talented and ‘25 is his year. I’m glad to be a part of it. This record is gonna be special. I’m gearing up for what will be the journey of a lifetime.”

Billy Ray adopted son Trace and daughter Brandi Cyrus, 37, when he married their mother, Tish Cyrus, in 1993. Billy Ray and Tish share Braison, Miley, and daughter Noah Cyrus, 25. Billy Ray is also a father to son Christopher Cody Cyrus, 32, from a previous relationship. Billy Ray and Tish divorced in 2022. Tish said it was “such an incredible night” at the Grammys, and congratulated Miley and Beyoncé on their win. She sad, “love this duo so much! ❤️”
