Nate Smith announced on Wednesday (February 19) that actor and comedian Kevin James stars in his music video that’s set to release at the end of the week.

Smith previously confirmed HARDY is his mystery collaboration partner after posting several teasers on social media. The “World on Fire” hitmaker also prompted his followers to guess “the next surprise person” appearing in the “Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend” music video. Smith’s only hint was “it’s not a musician,” and some of the commenters correctly guessed James. The music video will also feature digital creator Amanda Mertz and Internet personality Sophia La Corte, Smith said on Wednesday.

“Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend” will release on Friday (February 21).

The collaboration with HARDY is the latest song to release from Smith since the reigning Academy of Country Music New Male Artist of the Year delivered his sophomore album in October. California Gold included “Fix What You Didn’t Break,” “Can You Die From a Broken Heart” with Avril Lavigne, “Bulletproof,” “I Like It” with Alesso, and more. The 16-track record followed Smith’s self-titled debut album and its deluxe edition in 2023. Smith hinted at new music on the way in a recent interview with iHeartCountry.
