The Chicks cited “illness” when the group postponed a performance shortly before the show was scheduled to start on Monday night (November 2).

The trio — made up of Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer — posted a statement on Instagram ahead of their concert at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. It reads: “The Chicks’ performance tonight…has been rescheduled due to illness. The rescheduled date is Wednesday, November 4.

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. If you’re unable to attend the new date, refunds will be available at your point of purchase. If you are able to attend the rescheduled date, no action is required. The Chicks apologize for any inconvenience,” the statement concluded.

Many of the commenters wished the trio a recovery and expressed understanding; however, commenters also expressed that they’re “sad,” “disappointed” and “heartbroken,” after traveling to L.A. and can no longer attend the show.

The Chicks are currently on their “Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour,” performing their Grammy-winning 2006 record (along with other hits and fan-favorites throughout the trio’s career). Wednesday night’s rescheduled performance will be the final show on The Chicks’ tour. See the trio’s statement here:
