Several weeks ago, The Bobby Bones Show determined that after you pay your bill, you should only stay at your table for another 15-20 minutes before you leave so they can turn the table over to another paying customer. But Eddie wanted to know if there’s an exception if you’re there to watch a game.
He and his family had a layover at an airport and the Dallas Cowboys game was on. They went to a Buffalo Wild Wings and ordered, and everyone finished their meal around the first quarter, but he wanted to stay until halftime. His wife and kids left to check out a kid's place, but he stayed at the table to finish the game. He left two wings in front of him the entire time to make it look like he was still eating, and the server cleared the rest of his table and kept coming back to ask if he needed anything else. So, Eddie wanted to know if you’re at a place that is showing the games if it’s different on how long you can stay after you finish eating.
Bobby Bones agreed it’s a bit different, but if you’re going to keep a table, keep ordering things like drinks, otherwise you’re costing that waiter money. Lunchbox thought he didn’t have to keep ordering things if he wanted to stay at the table to finish the game because the restaurant’s advertisement is for them to come in and watch the game. And since Eddie did order food, he had a right to stay at that table to finish the game. Bones reminded him that he’s costing the waiter tip money which will affect their livelihood, so if he does not keep ordering, he should give a good tip. Morgan used to work at Buffalo Wild Wings and shared that is the culture there for people to stay and watch the games, but they would continue to order drinks or tip her good in the end. Amy agreed she would not sit there for the full time unless she continued to order things or gave a good tip.
