Bobby Bones Named 2024 Arkansas of the Year

Bobby Bones is being honored as the 2024 Arkansan of the Year!  

Bones is from Mountain Pine, Arkansas and displays his love and connection to his home state frequently on air and with his support for University of Arkansas sports. He expressed gratitude for receiving this award and recognition.  

Bones will be the first person to receive the award after a six-year hiatus. The Arkansan of the Year award honors individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the state and past recipients include prominent figures such as Bill Clinton, Johnny Cash and Jerry Jones. 

Greg Horne, President of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association, praised Bones as a great example of success and a role model for aspiring broadcasters. Bones radio journey started in Arkansas doing local radio to now being the host of “The Bobby Bones Show,” with millions of listeners across the nation.  

He will receive the award during a luncheon on Oct. 14 as part of the Arkansas Broadcasters Convention in Hot Springs.
