Last week, Lunchbox saw a truck run a red light and t-bone a car, causing it to spin and hit another car and create a three-car collision. He called 911 to report the accident, which the Bobby Bones Show felt was warranted compared to other times he’s called. To hear how he sounded, they tracked down the call and shared the audio on the show.
In the call, he reported where the wreck was, what he witnessed and that he was not involved. He also informed them that he could not stay at the scene so he did not know if anyone was injured, but there was a lot of debris in the road they should be aware of. They thanked him for the call and let him know they had assistance on the way. Everyone agreed it was a solid call, and he sounded normal. The two things that came off funny were that he let them know he had someplace to be so he could not stop, and that he gave them a heads up about the debris in the road. It was the most mature 911 call he ever made. When he makes these calls, he’s not thinking about them playing it on the show, he’s thinking about saving lives, but admitted it’s exciting when he calls 911 and has a moment to make a difference.
