A few weeks ago, Lunchbox told the Bobby Bones Show he applied to be the Nashville SC In-Game Announcer.
He was really excited because one of the sales people told him about the gig and that he should apply to do it. After going through multiple phases including sending them video examples, he finally got a response on if he got the gig. When he received the email, he didn't open it, he just immediately forwarded it to Scuba Steve for Bobby to announce live on the show. The subject of the email didn't give anything away so he had no detail about what was in the email.
Bobby read it and shared the email with the rest of the show. It was from a woman named Colleen who thanked him for applying for the job and really appreciated his effort in the videos. It continued by saying after consideration, they decided to go with an internal applicant. She ended the email by saying she hopes they work with Lunchbox in the future.
Lunchbox was embarrassed that he didn't get the job, but Bobby said he had a feeling it would go to an internal candidate. Lunchbox was frustrated because he doesn't know why they even posted the job, but Bobby said legally they have to post it. Lunchbox tried to play it cool saying he didn't want the job anyway and it would be really late nights. The show encouraged him to respond kindly because he never know what could happen, but Lunchbox said he doesn't want to be sloppy seconds. However, he might in the right scenario.
