In today's 'I See You,' we recognize an artist of another genre, rapper T.I. His old friend and bodyguard Philant Johnson was killed during an altercation after a 2006 Tip show in Ohio.
During the trial for the shooter, T.I. said that he knew the bullet that had killed his friend Philant was meant for him.
He broke the news to Philant's then 5 year old daughter,
“I told her her daddy’s gone and he’s in a better place and he won’t be coming back. And I told her how much he loved her,” T.I. said.
Eleven years later, T.I. is still involved in Philant’s little girl's life. In the video below, he buys the high school senior a car so she can drive to school in comfort.
