Employees from a Houston-area Pizza Hut are being praised for their fast acting to get food to those in need.
Manager Shayda Habib of the local Pizza Hut in Houston called her husband and asked him to get as many kayaks together as possible. So then Habib and all of the employees she could gather, started making lots of pizzas, stuffed them into red pouches and loaded them onto the kayaks.
They set out to deliver the pizzas to all of those stranded or needing food but couldn't leave their places because of the flooding from Hurricane Harvey.
Pizza Hut franchisee of the store said, âWe are so proud of our team for seeing a need, stepping up and helping the community in a time of devastation."
