TMSG: Teacher Helps Former Student Raise Funds To Stay In College

18-year-old student Kevonna Stevens graduated as valedictorian of her class and then became the first of her family to head to college. One of her teachers, Jason Boll, helped Stevens apply to college and is now helping in an even bigger way.

After finding out that Stevens was doing well in school, but might not be able to afford to stay in college at Philadelphia's Temple University, Boll started a GoFundMe campaign. The campaign had a fundraising goal of $7,5000 to help with Stevens needs for the rest of the school year.

Their goal was hit in 10 days after a story in Pittsburgh Post-Gazette raising $8,500 to help Stevens stay in college.
