TMSG: Dog Recovering After Being Rescued From Railroad Tracks

Indiana University students were visiting a local dog park with their 8-month-old Siberian Husky Zara. Their dog started to lead them towards train tracks and when they arrived, they heard whimpering and found another Siberian Husky in the middle of the tracks.

Everyone worked together, utilizing their car floor mats to pick up the injured husky just as a train started coming around the corner.

They found out she was suffering from a broken pelvis after taking her to IndyVet Emergency and Specialty Hospital. Shortly after, the husky named Elsie was reunited with her owner and everyone was happy.

Her owner Randy told CBS 4 Indy,

“I am very grateful that they found her, if they hadn't of got there, she would have been gone because that train would have come through no matter what.”
