Jyoti Verma, a 58-year-old woman, is being hailed a hero. She was making breakfast when her neighbor alerted her to a fire in a building adjacent to her apartment.
She rushed to the window and saw people crying for help from the third story. Verma looked into her apartment for something useful to help and found a small bamboo ladder. Verma and her neighbor propped the ladder onto the roof of her terrace to stretch to the building on fire.
Within 30 minutes, twenty workers were able to crawl to safety. Wow! We see you Verma and your neighbor.
