12-year-old Sammie Stricker is working hard to help the men and women who fought for our country. She started selling lemonade for $1 a cup just to work for herself, she wrote on the GoFundMe page "At first I was going to keep money for myself, but then I thought about all the people who have so much less than me."
The first year Stricker raised $150, the following year $500, then she hit $1,500. The young girl decided to take all of the money she raised and donate it to local veterans at the Veterans Affairs Hospital near Flint, Michigan.
Now Stricker's next goal is to raise at least $5,000 over a five-day period. You go girl!
