Three suspects were caught on surveillance footage showing them pull a shark out of its exhibit at San Antonio Aquarium. They scooped the shark out from an open tank, taken to a restroom and packed inside a wet blanket before being stuffed into a stroller on Saturday.
The horn shark named Helen is less than a year old and valued at approximately $2,000. Fortunately, the Leon Valley police chief reported that the shark is back and safely at the Aquarium.
They also reported that two of the three suspects likely will be charged with theft. They could also face additional federal charges because of permits required to possess exotic animals.
