A boater in Florida got stuck in a storm over the weekend and almost lost everything, including his furry best friend.
Shane Hale sold everything he owned and planned to sail around the world with just his necessities and his dog, Harley. However, Hale got caught in a storm Saturday night three miles off of Englewood, Florida. His boat started to sink and his dog had fallen overboard. Sea Tow Vince employee Craig Marcum said that Hale was distraught only having them focus on finding his dog and not worrying about his boat.
They survived the storm, but still, Harley was nowhere in sight. Hale sent a plea on social media asking for the public's help. Less than 24 hours later, he received a call that Harley was found at Manasota Beach. He had swum close to 3 miles in 10-foot waves and survived a full day on the beach.
This definitely constitutes as a "Tell Me Something Good!" We're so happy they were reunited.
