Jake Owen is currently busy on the road for the second leg of his Life's Whatcha Make It Tour 2018 with David Lee Murphy and Morgan Wallen as well as promoting his new single "Down To The Honkytonk." He stopped by the Bobby Bones Show to discuss some of the songs he doesn't like to perform, those artists who have shaped him along the way as well as talk about the new show he is on.
Owen shares that his old set list, a couple years ago, was always spaced out with his popular songs to the song no one knew, but now he doesn't have to do that. People know the majority of his songs and one of the favorites is "Made For You." He went on to say that his song "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" changed his life because it was his first number one after seven long years on a label. A song he hates to perform? "Eight Second Ride" because it isn't his persona and he actually wrote the song for his brother.
While busy touring and prepping for the new TV show about showcasing country music called "Real Country," Owen has been getting into the "best shape of his life." He shares that he loves to work out and eat healthily, but he also treats himself when he wants something. If he wants a donut or McDonald's, he will get it and not hate himself for it.
The show "Real Country" Owen is doing alongside Shania Twain. The two of them spent four hours at dinner together talking about their goals for the upcoming show and how they can make Nashville showcased as more unique.
The full Friday Morning Conversation with Jake Owen was one of our favorites. He pulls a "Name Drop" of Vince Gill,he trolled the Bobby Bones Show studio and brought everyone donuts.
