Wesley Ryan had to part with his beloved 1993 Ford Mustang GT seventeen years ago when medical bills started to pile up. His wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and he needed to pay for the treatments.
His children never forgot about this sacrifice their dad made to help their mother. Wesley's son Jake came across the car during a search online after matching the VIN number.
With the help of his sister Jeni, they purchased it from the owner in Kyle, Texas. Two years earlier, the same owner had refused an offer from the siblings, but now that same owner is planning to use the money from the sale to help pay for her own mother's cancer treatments.
