Bobby Bones is currently a celebrity on Season 27 on Dancing With The Stars with his partner is Sharna Burgess. They have completed three dances in front of America as well as the judges: Jive, Foxtrot, and Quickstep.
Burgess stopped by Bones Nationally Syndicated radio show The Bobby Bones Show, to talk about their recent dances as well as what she thinks their chances for the upcoming season are following some interesting moments over the last two weeks.
Amy, Bones co-host, asked Burgess the question we've all been dying to know the answer to... what was her initial reaction to Bones doing the floss at the end of their second dance. Although she was angry with Bones, Burgess shares that her anger was coming from a place of concern. She didn't want that action to be perceived wrong. She shares,
"In the moment it happened... I was laughing. After he sat down, I smacked him and was so mad at him. [...] I see how hard he works and how passionate he is, I was worried people weren't going to think he was serious about the dance."
However, following their conversation afterward and seeing the (mostly) positive reaction online from people relating to his joy and positive energy, she told him to stay exactly how he is.
"He is pure joy and gratitude for being apart of something like this. [...] I told him after I saw the things online... 'You do you, you never change.'"
Following their third dance and the judges' reactions and scores, Burgess shared that she didn't think Bones was "being rough with her" and she was a little confused with their critiques being all across the board. However, next week is "The Most Memorable Year" where the groups get to showcase the celebrities' life story in dance form. Burgess shares it's a really special moment for the show and she's really excited for what they have in store.
