Mitchell Tenpenny Learned "I'll Be" On Guitar To Ask A Girl To Prom

Mitchell Tenpenny is making his first big wave as a country artist after growing up in Nashville, Tennessee and being a part of the music community for quite some time. His single "Drunk Me" is climbing the chart and he's about to put out his debut album Telling All My Secrets on December 14th.

Tenpenny is far from just a country music fan and artist, he loves to perform and listen to several other genres including John Mayer and Edwin McCain. He learned the song "I'll Be" from McCain on guitar just to ask his girl to prom. Also, he performs John Mayer covers with his band members during sets often.

He will be headed out on the "Make It Sweet" Tour with Old Dominion in 2019, opening the tour for several of the dates. Watch Mitchell Tenpenny's interview on Bobby Bones Show below and see his performances on our Instagram TV channel here.
