TMSG: Dog Saves Elderly Neighbor's Life During Cold Snap

Tim Curfman's 4-year-old black lab named Midnight is being hailed a hero. Curfman was taking out the garbage with Midnight in temperatures hovering one degree below zero during Minnesota's cold snap. While they were outside Midnight started acting strange.

Curfman told WCCO, "She had her ears perked up looking at me. She doesn't normally do that. Sometimes you get that feeling something's up." So he followed Midnight to a spot on the other side of the house where they discovered their elderly neighbor Noreen had fallen in the snow while trying to fill a bird feeder.

Noreen didn't have enough strength in her fingers to push herself up and wasn't near anything to get ahold of either. Curfman got Noreen inside and some warm clothes.

Thankfully Noreen didn't have any serious injuries or frostbite, all because Midnight knew something was wrong. Curfman shared, "she got so many treats it was a shame."
