Tooth Found Inside Man's Nose After Losing Sense Of Smell

A man's seemingly normal nasal symptoms ended up in a medical journal after doctors found out the cause of the symptoms was a tooth growing inside his nose!

The 59-year-old was complaining of a stuffy nose and slowly started to lose his sense of smell over the last 2 years. Finally, he decided to seek out a specialist who conducted a CT scan. The scan showed a mucus covered mass in the mans nasal cavity.

When the doctors removed the growth they discovered an extremely rare stray tooth. It's so rare that doctors estimate this occurs in less than 1 percent of patients.

The man reported that his symptoms improved after the tooth was removed but doctors still aren't sure what caused the tooth to grow inside his nose in the first place.
