Kassi Ashton Wrote 'Pretty Shiny Things' In The Middle Of The Night

Kassi Ashton was part of Bobby Bones Class Of 2018 artists. After joining the Class of 2018 with the likes of Jimmie Allen, Morgan Evans, Jillian Jacqueline, and Brandon Ray, Ashton's career really started to blossom. She released new songs and is making a name for herself in the country world.

Just recently she released "Pretty Shiny Things" a song that has a powerful message to others, but comes from her heart about her past. Ashton tells Bones that she wrote the song in the middle of the night. She woke up and had to get the idea out so she went to the piano at the end of her bed, was all up in her feels, and wrote the song. She sent it to her best friend who really liked it, assuming it was already finished before it was.

This song is also the reason she got her publishing deal in Nashville. The song notes things that Ashton's mom used to say to her so it brings a very real and honest connection for Ashton. Hear the full conversation below.
