TMSG: Hospital Lets Young Patients 'Drive' Into Surgery With Mini Cars

Surgery is a scary thing; but one hospital has found a way to reduce the stress and anxiety of an operation in a unique way. Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto, California has two mini toy cars for kids to ride into surgery to put them in a happy mood.

The two cars are a black Mercedes and a pink Volkswagen Beetle made especially for tiny humans. The facility pushed to get the first car but the second was donated by a staff member and her family. According to CBS News, employees of the center hope the cars reduce kids’ stress, anxiety and fear before they go into the operating room.
