You read the headline correctly, a woman found $14,000 in cash on the side of the road in Auburn, Alabama. Jill James was driving along the road when she saw what looked like a pile of trash. Getting out of her car to clean up the trash she discovered it was in fact hundreds of bills. She decided to take the money to the police station because she figured someone was missing a lot of money that has to be important.
The money belongs to a businessman who apparently put the bag of money on his car tire before accidentally driving off without removing the money from his tire. “I would hope people out there would do the right thing because it’s all about karma-karma takes you a long way,” she told CBS news.
