Blanco Brown Calls His Music "Trailer Trap"

Blanco Brown from the new hit song "The Git Up", joined the Bobby Bones Show to talk about his music and the inspiration for this recent popular jam! Brown said he can feel the energy when people tell him they love the song he truly believes it. Bobby asked how he created "The Git Up" to which Brown responded that he started off with traditional country, then added some hip hop funk, and finally a few dance moves. He said his Aunt used to dance a lot so he wanted to incorporate some of her dance moves and fun loving personality into the song.

Bobby said he heard that Brown's musical influences were Johnny Cash and OutKast; so he was curious how he grabs inspiration from such different style of music. Brown said Johnny Cash is someone he grew up listening to and he wanted to mirror the influence his music has on his fans. He actually refers to his music as "trailer trap" which is a mix between trailer park country music and hip hop funk.

Brown has worked with artists like Childish Gambino and Fergie. They actually call him "the ear" because of his ability to listen through a song once and tell you exactly what is missing.
