92-year-old Jerry Schneider may be old enough to live at the Hewbrew Home senior living facility in Riverdale, New York, but that's not why he goes there.
Schneider goes there to work as a volunteer. He first visited Hewbrew Home in 2007 when his wife was diagnosed with cancer and went there for care. At first, Schneider didn't think he's return to volunteer because he though his wife would recover and come home. Unfortunately, she passed away.
A few years later, his son reminded him about his wife's suggestion to visit the seniors there who needed it. So Schneider did just that, he signed up to be a volunteer at the home and hang out with the residents who need a pick-me-up.
