Life On The Road Is What Ultimately Inspired Dierks Bentley's 19th #1 Song

Dierks Bentley just scored his 19th Number 1 hit with his song "Living." He called into The Bobby Bones Show to talk about the #1 and what he's been up to lately.

Now that Bentley has 19 songs that have gone Number 1, he doesn't really celebrate them. He told Bobby Bones that he was just sitting there "drinking his coffee." The song idea for "Living" came from life on the road mostly due to the fact that Bentley and his crew weren't really doing much besides playing video games during the day until show time. It really stuck when one of the band members went to Walgreens during the day and it shocked everyone because someone actually got off the bus.

Lately some might have seen Bentley on their television screens as the spokesperson for 5-Hour Energy. Bones asked if some people who don't know country music, recognize him more as 'The 5-Hour Energy Guy' than as Dierks Bentley. He laughed and said that most people still know him and his music, but there is some of that.

Bentley confessed that he wanted to get on the show when we were doing our Bobby Bones Show Emmy's with one of his favorite shows "Succession" on HBO. He was also asked "If You Had To Drop A Song From Your Set, which of these would you choose...? "Somewhere On A Beach," "Drunk On A Plane" "I Hold On" and "What Was I Thinkin'." Bentley said that those songs were the core of his set list and it's too hard to choose but he ultimately went with "What Was I Thinkin'."
