It's been almost three years since Jon Pardi released a new album. Today (September 27) he dropped his new album Heartache Medication, a follow up to California Sunrise in 2016. Pardi confessed that he recorded the latest album for 2.5 years and spent 3 studio sessions working on the project.
The project has the song "Old Hat" listed as the first track, Pardi says that it was listed first because of the intro to it. It's one of his favorite due to it's soulful sound and the old school lyrics of "being a gentleman." The title song "Heartache Medication" was also the first time Pardi did his own dancing for the music video. Pardi texted Bobby Bones during his lessons asking for advice and help. Towards the end of it, Pardi feels like they nailed it.
Outside of dropping new music, some might see Pardi on television in the Wrangler commercials. Bones told him he's a real cowboy so the commercial partnership makes sense. Pardi laughed saying that just recently he and some buddies went checking cattle in Montana. He's also a watcher of Paramount's TV Show "Yellowstone," but says it gets really stressful to watch.
If you've ever met Pardi, you'll note immediately that he's incredibly tall. Bones got him to admit his height, with and without his boots and cowboy hat. Without anything Pardi stands 6 foot 3 inches, but with his cowboy boots and cowboy hat he stands 6 foot 7 inches.
