Lainey Wilson Knew At 9-Years-Old She Would Call Nashville Home One Day

Lainey Wilson is an upcoming country artist and recently known for her participation in Blanco Brown's viral dance teaching video for "The Git Up." Wilson also has a new EP out right now called Redneck Hollywood featuring her recent song drop "LA."

Wilson called into The Bobby Bones Show after Bobby Bones invited her over to his house to film his video for "The Git Up." Wilson came along to teach Bones and Caylee Hammack, and she also brought Brown with her. While Wilson wasn't in the video, Bones liked the Louisiana vibe her and her music brought to light.

While on with Bones, Wilson talked about her love of clothes. She says she has way too many Bell-bottom jeans, and she loves to shop at thrift stores. She has so many clothes that she had to turn the upstairs bedroom at her place into one big closet. She laughed saying that she's "Ballin' on a budget."

The song Wilson first dropped from her EP is called "LA" and has a fun backstory as to how the song came about from her move to Nashville. Wilson said when she was 9-years-old, her dad took them on a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She begged him to drive through Nashville on the way home to their home state of Louisiana. During the drive home, Wilson was looking at the Batman building and said that Nashville was going to be her home. Fast forward to life now, Wilson lived in a trailer for her first 3 years in Nashville. She was known around town as the camper trailer girl. When asked where shew as from, Wilson would always say LA and people would assume she meant Los Angeles, but to her LA was her home of Louisiana.
