Carrie Underwood Sings "The Champion" A Capella W/ Deaf 8-Year-Old Signing

8-year-old Savannah Dahan from Maryland went viral earlier this year gaining over a million views online.

Dahan was born deaf, but that doesn't stop her from loving music. Her favorite singer is Carrie Underwood. Dahan told Good Morning America that Underwood's songs are "easy to understand and her expressions are clear." She has moderate to severe hearing loss, but because her family, her two younger sisters and her parents are also deaf, she identifies as deaf. She wears hearing aids at home and at school.

One day at home, Dahan was signing the song "The Champion" from Underwood and she asked her dad to record her as the song's music video played in the background.

Fast forward to Underwood's Cry Pretty 360 Tour in Washington D.C. on Friday, Underwood and Dahan finally met. They hung out backstage before the show and performed a special duet of the song.

Underwood posted the video to her social media writing "Savannah! You bring so much joy to #TheChampion! Thank you for such a special moment last night in D.C." Dahan echoed the same writing on her own Instagram page, "Best day ever" and she was "so grateful for the opportunity to meet with @carrieunderwood and sign with her!"
