The Bobby Bones Show has had several guest hosts over the last few weeks while waiting for co-host Lunchbox to return from paternity leave. Todd Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best was the surprise guest host on today (March 5). During his time on the show, Chrisley talked about how he got into television, what his family is up to now, and he addressed the latest rumor speculation around his family and their taxes.
Chrisley's family has been on television screens for seven seasons and headed into their eighth. Their show even spawned off another show called Growing Up Chrisley that focuses on the children in the family, which premiered in 2019. Before television though, Chrisley was a real estate developer in Georgia. He loved his job, but a friend of his in production kept saying he needed his own TV show. It wasn't until a sizzle video of Chrisley and his family's life got sent to production companies that he realized it was a serious possibility. The reel got sent to 10 companies and 9 of them offered deals to the family. And the rest is history.
Now, the family is focused on their upcoming projects. They're filming Season 8 of Chrisley Knows Best, as well as another season of Growing Up Chrisley. His daughter Savannah is working on her clothing line, makeup line, and a few other projects and Todd has been focusing on producing the television shows as well as working on a few other television projects like one with Rascal Flatt's Jay DeMarcus. Chrisley shared that he hopes to end up in Charleston sometime soon to retire, once all of the shows and projects have wrapped.
Before leaving, Bobby Bones asked Chrisley about Savannah's latest tweet in regards to their tax controversy. Savannah quote tweeted, "Justice may move slowly but at least it’s moving in the right direction. This is the man who has tried to destroy our family along with hundreds of other GA tax payers. #allinGodstime" along with a story and photo of a high profile state investigator resigning. Chrisley further shared more on The Bobby Bones Show saying that things are definitely starting to come to light. He said that the investigator was the one who made accusations about his family and his family was able to file a counter-suit against him after having to pay $70,000 to the state. The counter-suit brought to light a lot of illegal things the investigator was doing in regards to his family and why his accusations were false. Chrisley continued by sharing that there was photo evidence incriminating the investigator of doing things intentionally against the family.
