Owner of The Melting Pot and Rodizio Grill franchises in Nashville Mark Rosenthal came on The Bobby Bones Show to talk about his businesses and how they're recovering after the Christmas Day bombing that destroyed his restaurants.
Both of Rosenthal's businesses are on 2nd avenue, the place that the bomb went off in Nashville. He shared that the bombing did the most damage to Rodizio Grill, it is completely demolished while The Melting Pot had some severe damage to the doors and windows. He added that both of the restaurants were flooded for about 6 hours so there's also flood damage on top of the explosion damage.
Since the bombing, he's only been able to go to his businesses twice for a few minutes under the escort of police and fire. But despite all of the devastation, his team is trying to stay positive. Some other franchise owners of The Melting Pot and Rodizio Grill came together and started GoFundMe Pages to support Rosenthal's staff at both locations. So far they've raised over $100K for their restaurant staff, but they hope to continue to raise more as they're helping out several employees have compensation through at least March.
