An animal control officer has saved the day for a New Hampshire woman after locating her lost engagement ring.
Bob McGrath was off duty when he saw noticed a woman looking for something in the water. The woman explained her ring had fallen off in the water. She was using a metal detector but was unable to find it. McGrath was experienced with metal detecting and went back to the beach later after the low tide. After an hour of searching with his own detector, he was able to find the ring.
The ring was six inches under the sand, but McGrath was able to locate and return the ring to its owner.
