TMSG: Man Walks More Than 500 Miles To Honor Brother, Victims Of 9/11

Frank Siller wanted to honor his brother and the other victims of 9/11 several years ago and it's been growing ever since.

Siller founded the Tunnel to Towers Foundation that honors his younger brother Stephen. His brother died trying to save others on 9/11 even after he had already gone home from his firefighting shift in Brooklyn. Every year the foundation holds an event to remember 9/11 and the sacrifices Stephen and other first responders made that day years ago. But for the 20th anniversary of 9/11 this year, Siller wanted to honor his brother in an even bigger way.

He embarked on the "Never Forget Walk," walking 500 miles starting at Washington D.C. at the Pentagon and continued to Shanksville, Pennsylvania before finishing in New York City. He traveled across six different states, with some residents coming outside with their families to watch him along his walk.

Siller completed his walk on Saturday, September 11. 42 days after he began.
