Clay Walker Surprises TikToker Josh Woods For Performance

Bobby Bones was watching TikTok when he saw artist Josh Woods covering Brooks & Dunn's "Neon Moon" at a car wash. He was impressed with the video and duetted it. The video has reached over 3 million views so Bones invited Woods to come perform on the The Bobby Bones Show which went down today (October 14).

Woods work Tommy's Express Car Wash in Oklahoma not only allowed him the time off to go down to Nashville for the performance, they also purchased his flight, hotel, and paid for his expenses while away. Woods is the manager of the car wash spot where he maintains the equipment and the crew. He pursued being an artist for awhile but it never quite worked out. So he decided in his spare time while working at the car wash, he was going to use TikTok to post his singing videos. After one of his first videos of him singing at the car wash went viral, he decided to keep posting his videos from there to keep it different. Plus, the acoustics of the car wash sound good. He noted that he records his performances when everyone is gone, not when the car wash is busy. Woods joked that since blowing up on TikTok in recent months, his kids don't like it because parents of other kids come up to them asking to meet their dad.

When Woods called into the show last week ahead of his performance, he noted that one of his favorite country artists and influences was Clay Walker. The show arranged for Walker to surprise Woods and perform guitar while singing harmony as Woods covers his song "She Won't Be Lonely Long." Walker shared that he's seen Woods videos and him being at the car washes actually reminds him of some of his memories when he was younger. Woods was definitely in shock and found himself speechless a few times during the whole interaction. He was very thankful for his chance to play on the show, and perform with Walker.

Bones made it all even a little bit sweeter. He invited Woods to come perform with Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots at the iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, Texas on October 30th. Woods said yes on the spot! Fans can still get tickets to the show here.
