TMSG: Women Knit 3,000 Handmade Winter Wears For Homeless

Two South Carolina women started off 2022 by helping those experiencing homelessness in their community in a big way.

The women are with the nonprofit charity group I Am Not Lost Upstate SC. They knit, crochet, and loom all year long so that those experiencing homeless may feel a moment of love and comfort. Moderator for the group Marline Sexton told WYFF 4, "I crocheted the character hats just to make a living, until I could get where I needed to get. And by the time I didn't need the hats anymore, I didn't need to sell em, God laid it on my heart to do this, and it's just been growing every year."

They took the 3,000 hats, scarves, and other winter wear they handmade and left them behind around the city with a note attached that read, "I am not lost. I was handmade for you! If you are cold and need me, please take me!"
