Amy’s son's teacher shared a story about how they used to allow emotional support animals at their school, until an incident happened.
They said it was very helpful and therapeutic for the kids, but then someone's emotional support dog ate someone's emotional support parrot. It happened in front of a lot of students, and she doesn’t have all the details but just knows it was a very traumatic situation that lead them to stop allowing students to have emotional support animals at school. She was upset her son missed the opportunity to have an animal with him at school because she thinks it would have really helped him.
