Bobby Invited To Lead Toby Keith Tribute At Oklahoma Game

Between the third and fourth quarter during a The University of Oklahoma football game, they pay tribute to Toby Keith, who was a massive fan and supporter of the team, by singing his song “Courtesy of The Red, White & Blue.”

Bobby Bones is a huge Arkansas fan, which is Oklahoma’s rival, but even that tribute made him feel emotional. He got a message from OU’s athletic director, Joe Castiglione, because he knew he had a relationship with Keith, and asked him to lead the crowd in one of his songs during the football game. At first, Bones thought no because of his loyalty towards Arkansas, but his wife is a massive Oklahoma fan. He had to have a discussion with himself that doing it would not make him a traitor and he should do it out of respect for his relationship with Keith. Bones agreed and will be doing it at the game against Tulane on September 14th. He’s honored and hopes the fans treat him nicely even though he is not one of them!
